Finnish Tax Administration has informed on April 9.th that due to exceptional circumstances the companies, which had a financial year end between December 2019 and February 2020, can file their corporate tax returns 1 month later than the usual 4-month deadline. This extension does not need to be separately requested and no late-filing penalties are imposed for tax returns filed during the additional month. Despite the extension, the Tax Administration wishes that all companies and organisations who can file their tax return by the normal deadline would do so.
Organizations affected by this extension: limited liability companies, associations, housing companies, real estate companies, foreign corporations, cooperatives and investment funds.
